1,200 miles, many winding backroads, and several unsuccessful attempts at trying Maine’s “best potato donuts” later... we wrapped up a stellar round of visits to our 16 partner clinics to launch Right For Me. We set out to meet the clinic staff and get to know their workflow, provide training in what the study is all about, and brainstorm how to bring the project to life in their clinical context. (Kyla conducting a training at one of our clinics) We received a tremendously warm welcome from all our partners, and were blown away by their enthusiasm, passion for patient-centered care, and commitment to the project. We had great discussions with each group about their ideas for how to make Right For Me “right for them”. We are grateful to be able to collaborate with such a fantastic group of clinical partners on this project!

If you have read about a project entitled 'The Comparative Effectiveness of Patient- and Provider-Directed Strategies for Increasing Shared Decision-Making in Reproductive Health Care' over on the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) website, you would be forgiven for not knowing that was us. Within about twenty seconds of seeing this page, we realized it. Worst. Title. Ever. So, with the help of our patient and stakeholder partners, we came up with a new one. 'Right For Me: Birth control decisions made easier' gets at the heart of what this project is about. The rest is history. Like woodland creatures emerging from hibernation, our fearless team is surfacing after a winter of hard slog on Right For Me! We're a little bleary-eyed, a little cranky, and frankly a little hungry, but we think it's time we let you in on what we've been up to. And there have been some downright exciting developments in the last few months! So bookmark this page and stay tuned. More coming your way soon.
